Foam Homes

Foam Home Model
Right 2 Dream Too’s day-to-day operations, safety, and visitor oversight is coordinated by the site’s members, who live full-time at the rest area. As the winter fast approaches, we are looking to fundraise for an additional 10 tiny homes for these members. Called “Foam Homes,” the tiny house structure was developed by architecture students from PSU. These units are designed as emergency and temporary housing. The at-packed kits are based on a structural insulated panel system (SIP) and makes extensive use of low-cost recycled construction materials and natural finishes like charring and vinegar emulsion stains. The kits are designed to be easy to assemble. We look forward to working with students from Benson Polytechnic High School to construct these additional 10 units in early 2018.Watch the video below!

Companies that have committed to sponsoring a home so far include:

  • American Assets Trust
  • BOMA Oregon
  • eBay Portland
  • East West College of the Healing Arts
  • Watson Creative
  • Want to get involved? Currently we have 2 main needs:

    1) We need 3 more tiny homes.
    2) We need a space to construct the main home components. The space should be 900sf, insulated, and have access to power and a level floor.
