Join Us for the EcoDistrict Play Streets Tour!

We are thrilled to announce the Lloyd EcoDistrict Play Streets Tour! This August and September, we’re transforming streets and parking spaces into vibrant, car-free zones filled with activities and fun for all ages. Each event is free to attend, so bring your friends and family and join us in reimagining our public spaces!

Tour Stops

1. Ice Cream Social in Sullivan’s Gulch
  • When: Sunday, August 11 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Where: NE 17th between NE Clackamas and NE Halsey
  • What: Enjoy your favorite yard games and arts & crafts like button making and painting pollinators, and cool down in the misting tent or with free ice cream.
  • In Partnership With: Sullivan’s Gulch Neighborhood Association

2. Pet Costumes and Community Fun on Broadway
  • When: Thursday, August 22 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Where: NE 17th between NE Broadway and NE Weidler
  • What: Come play giant Jenga or Cornhole, enter your pet in a costume contest, or cheer loudly for your favorite costumed pet. Get pictures of your pets taken on our “green carpet”.

3. PARK(ing) Day Micro Play Street: Envisioning an E-Mobility & Resiliency Hub at Holladay Park
  • When: Friday, September 20 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: NE 13th between Multnomah and Holladay (eastside of Holladay Park)
  • Highlights: Explore ideas for the Holladay Park E-Mobility & Resiliency Hub and enjoy a mini play street event.

4. Pumpkin Patch Play Street on Holladay
  • When: Saturday, October 26 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: NE Holladay between 6th and Grand (south side of the Max line)
  • Highlights: A festive event filled with fun activities and pumpkin decorating for all ages, celebrating the harvest season!

What to Expect

At each event, we’ll convert streets or parking spaces into safe, fun, and engaging areas for everyone. From classic yard games to creative arts & crafts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. These events are designed to foster community spirit, promote outdoor play, and inspire us all to envision more people-friendly public spaces.
