Volunteer at The Blumenauer Bridge Witching Hour Celebration!
Join us for the Blumenauer Bridge Witching Hour Celebration, a free Halloween & Día de los Muertos festival bringing thousands of Portlanders together to celebrate biking, walking, art, and community on the Green Loop! The Celebration will be on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2:00–6:00 PM along NE 7th Avenue at the Blumenaur Bridge. More info on the event here.
We need volunteers to make the magic happen! From helping with setup, games, and pumpkin decorating, to keeping crosswalks safe and supporting the info station. Whether you can give two hours or the whole day, your time and energy will help create a car-free, vibrant, and inclusive festival.
Volunteer Roles
- Set Up (10–2 PM): Help us get ready with the kids traffic garden, tables, displays, pumpkins, decorations, and street barricades.
- Event Support (2–6 PM): Be the heartbeat of the festival! Help support the info station, water station, market area, games, and pumpkin decorating, and more! 2-hour slots available.
- Traffic Safety (all shifts): Keep our streets safe and welcoming by helping bikers, pedestrians, and vendors move smoothly.
- Take Down (6–8 PM): Assist with breaking down canopies, packing up displays, and making sure the space sparkles.
💡 No experience necessary — just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and maybe your best spooky-season costume!
