Peace Memorial Park, Eastbank Esplanade, Duckworth Dock Clean-up
Join Lloyd EcoDistrict, SOLVE, and Human Access Project volunteers to clean-up Peace Memorial Park and the surrounding areas (Eastbank Esplanade/Convention Center/Moda Center, and the Duckworth Dock). The clean-up event will include trash pick-up, sprucing up Peace Memorial Park garden, invasive plant removal, and sweeping walkways/bikeways.

When: Sunday, August 30th, 2020. 10:00am – 12:30pm
Meeting Location: Peace Memorial Park located at the intersection of NE Oregon St and NE Lloyd Blvd (near the Oregon Convention Center). Use the address “7 NE Oregon St” in Google Maps.
Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up ahead of time so we know how many volunteers to expect and to fill out the volunteer waiver form. Register on SOLVE’s website here.
What’s Provided: All tools & supplies- heavy-duty garbage bags, vinyl gloves + shovels etc. for invasive removal or planting.
What to Bring: Please come wearing a face covering, closed-toed shoes, with a filled reusable water bottle. If you have your own gloves, litter grabber, and litter bag, or bucket, you are encouraged to bring those as well. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup.
Restrooms: Public restrooms will not be available during this event. Please plan accordingly.
Getting There/ Parking: Walking/biking to the event is encouraged. Bike parking will be available. Peace Memorial Park is less than a 5-minute walk to Rose Quarter MAX Station. Metered street parking and private parking lots are also available for car parking nearby. Please note that construction by Trimet on the Steel Bridge may affect your transportation options.
