Lending Library
Your destination for borrowing free event supplies in Portland that reduce costs, support a circular economy, and reduce barriers for inclusive events. As a dedicated community resource, we offer an array of supplies designed to support neighborhood groups, community-based organizations, and small businesses.
HOW TO RESERVE ITEMS
- Log in or create an account below. You must have a group or organization listed on your account for approval.
- Confirm your email address.
- Please allow up to 48 hrs for approval of your request to create an account.
- Once approved, you can start reserving items!
- To reserve multiple of the same item, simply reserve one item for the desired date(s) and then select the number you would like to reserve under “Requested” in your cart.
- Please try to reserve items at least one week in advance of your pickup date.
- Reservations placed less than 48 hours before pickup are unlikely to be approved.
Lending Library Eligibility
The library supports events, activities, and projects led by small businesses, neighborhood associations, business districts, markets, individual vendors, nonprofits, building managers, public agencies, neighbors planning a block party, and community groups (informal and formal) based in Portland or hosting an event in Portland.
The library cannot support (yet) private events like weddings and backyard birthday parties, though we hope to in the future.

Lending Library FAQs
Supplies can be checked out for up to one week.
With the closure of the Lloyd Center, our pickup location has changed. The Lloyd EcoDistrict Lending Library inventory is now stored at B-Line, located at 1140 SE 7th Avenue, Suite 190 (Dock 1). Google Maps link. Please enter via either the garage door or the person door next to it at the corner of SE 7th and SE Salmon. Staff can assist you at the front desk with either bringing out your items for checkout or receiving items that you're returning. B-Line has two short-term parking spaces available in front of the garage door, or street parking if they're occupied.
Though hours occasionally vary, you are able to pick up and drop off reserved items between 10 AM and 4 PM, Tuesday through Friday.
Small businesses, neighborhood associations, business districts, markets, individual vendors, nonprofits, building managers, public agencies, neighbors planning a block party, and community groups (informal and formal) based in Portland or hosting an event in Portland.
The library cannot support (yet) private events like weddings and backyard birthday parties, though we hope to in the future.
Potentially! We are piloting free delivery and pickup by E-Bike or EV vans for some library users. This option is currently available for the following library users:
- Groups that are based within the Lloyd EcoDistrict (see map here).
- Events that are happening within the Lloyd EcoDistrict area (see map here).
- Farmers' markets or other types of public markets throughout the City of Portland.
- Vendors at farmers' markets and other public markets throughout the City of Portland.
If you are not one of the groups above, we may also be able to offer delivery to other lending library users on a case-by-case basis or with a delivery fee. Contact us for more info.
Nothing! This is a free resource. Our hope is to keep it free or as close to free as possible.
Lendees are responsible for the cost of any severe damage or replacement of any lost supplies. Normal wear and tear is not considered severe damage.
The Lloyd Lending Library is a free community resource that empowers local small businesses and organizations by providing supplies to lower the costs of community events and projects. By supporting local initiatives, we reduce waste in the community as well as help foster a sense of community.
Lloyd EcoDistrict’s vision is to ensure Portland’s Lloyd neighborhood is one of the most sustainable neighborhoods in North America, and a leader in equity, resilience, and climate protection at the local level. We do this by setting goals and implementing initiatives in Lloyd addressing connectivity, health & well-being, living infrastructure, peace, place, prosperity, and resource regeneration.
