How would you make waste reduction better in Portland?
Metro is implementing a three-year program to support local innovation in the garbage and recycling industry. This Innovation and Investment program will award up to $3 million per year in grants to support businesses and non-profits with personnel costs, equipment, machinery, or other related expenses associated with their wast reduction efforts.
Metro is seeking public feedback on grant guidelines are available for public comment through March 14. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape what the future of waste reduction in Portland will look like – review the guidelines here!
