Another Bee-autiful Day in Lloyd

By Benjamin Johnson

Nestled in a busy corner of the Eastbank Esplanade, Lloyd Ecodistrict and SOLVE teamed up to continue our stewarding of Peace Memorial Park and the surrounding area on Wednesday, July 26th. We were so happy and so thankful to be joined by a team of volunteers donating their time to continue this work.

Over the course of 2 hours, we managed to collect 75 pounds of trash, cleared the sideway and bike path, and repainted a number of walls, fences, and benches in the park. All this comes together to help keep Peace Memorial Park and the Lloyd area a clean and happy neighborhood – something our neighbors biking and walking past us expressed appreciation for as they passed by. We appreciate you too!

Thank you to Metro for helping to fund this event.
