Hello Lloyd friends!
As you may know, Friday is
PARK(ing) Day —a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.
We hear that lots of our neighbors wish for a Lloyd dog park! This year, we are thrilled to build a pilot space for pups and their people.
Lloyd EcoDistrict,
GoLloyd, and
The Street Trust invite you to relax in our parklets, test out our turf, and enjoy treats and activities for both people and dogs! For pups, we’ll have a fenced-in dog parklet, treats, and doggy glam onsite! For their humans, we’ll also have Dept of Dance hosting crosswalk boogies, snacks, Mike Bennett art buddies, loungey furniture, and all the information and test-riding to help you get around Portland multimodally by walking, taking transit, or e-biking—with or without a furry friend in tow.
Here’s what’s happening:
For the pups: A fenced-in dog parklet, scrumptious treats, and even some doggy glam.
For their two-legged pals: Crosswalk boogies hosted by Dept of Dance, snacks, artsy buddies with Mike Bennett, chill-out furniture, and all the deets on exploring Portland—whether on foot, transit, or e-bike (even with your furry friend!).
Drop By and Say ‘Woof’ (or ‘Hi’)!

THIS FRIDAY
10 AM-2 PM
Come join us, test out the park, and give us your feedback. Pilots are great steps towards permanency, so lend your support to the project. Feel free to share with any dog or parklet enthusiasts near Lloyd!
