Celebrating the Success of our Lending Library’s First Year!
With the first year of the Lloyd Lending Library completed, we’re excited to share our progress and successes with the community. This project has become a valuable resource, helping people connect with our neighborhood while promoting sustainability and equity.
A Year of Impact
In 2024, the Lending Library served over 700 community members, providing free supplies for local events. From our humble beginnings, we have remained committed to offering a free resource that helps small business owners, nonprofits, and community groups access the items they need to thrive.
Sustainable Solutions for Our Community
One of our most exciting additions is the solar-powered generator, which provides zero-carbon power for day-long outdoor events. This generator has been a game-changer for organizations that need sustainable energy solutions.
“We were initially blocked from having a community event at Cully. The final requirement was to use a solar generator, which can be costly and hard to find. Fortunately, a friend introduced us to the Lending Library, and we were able to hold our much-needed event without additional expenses.” -Lending Library user
Costs isn’t the only thing that we help reduce for our community—we also help reduce waste from events by cutting down on the need for single-use items like cups and plates. We are pleased to have partnered with Bold Reuse to provide reusable food containers and cups for events serving food. While we aim to expand our reusable offering going forward, we like
Empowering Our Community
The Lending Library also provides essential resources that make a big impact. From chairs to tables, these items help build capacity and support local businesses and organizations.
“Our venue’s seating capacity was limited to 25 due to the number of chairs available. Accessing additional chairs at no cost allowed our nonprofit to welcome more participants to our women-owned small business event without adding extra expenses.” -Lending Library user
Looking Ahead
We’re proud of the Lending Library’s first year and the positive impact it has had on our community. As we move forward, we’re committed to expanding our inventory to meet the evolving needs of our community members.
