Join us for a memorable evening under the summer sky at Holladay Park as we mix fun, food, and disaster preparedness at Quake Night at the Park!
Bring a blanket, your favorite picnic snacks or dinner, and your curiosity. We’ll provide the popcorn and plenty of opportunities to learn how to stay ready before the next big event.
Enjoy:
🍿 A free outdoor screening of RUMBLINGS: Preparing for Cascadia, a documentary about living with earthquake risk in the Pacific Northwest. See the trailer here. The movie will start playing around 7:30 PM and finish around 8:30 PM.
🥪 A relaxed community picnic—bring your own food and enjoy free popcorn!
🧰 A hands-on Emergency Preparedness Fair featuring resources and giveaways to help you and your family get ready for anything. We’ll have representatives from Irvington Neighborhood Emergency Teams (NET), American Red Cross, Multnomah County Office of Emergency Management, Multnomah County Disaster Resource Centers, Critical Infrastructure Hub (CEI Hub) Task Force, AARP, and Portland Street Response onsite to help you get prepared!
🎁 Free emergency sanitation kit assembly station – we’ll be making twin-bucket poop and pee kits to the first 50 families!
🏆 Prize drawings and kid-friendly activities
Whether you’re new to emergency preparedness or a seasoned volunteer, this evening is for you.
Come for the picnic, stay for the movie, and leave better prepared to take action.
What to Bring:

- Your friends, family, and neighbors!

- The event area is wheelchair accessible
- ADA restrooms will be available on-site
- The movie RUMBLINGS will include subtitles for accessibility
