Hi all,

I wanted to share a personal update and invite you into an important next step for Lloyd EcoDistrict.

Later this year, I’ll be relocating east to be closer to family full-time. This has been something I’ve been thinking about for a while, and while it feels like the right move personally, it also comes with a lot of reflection on what this work and this community have meant to me.

Portland is the best city I’ve ever lived in. The people, the partnerships, the creativity, and the care that exist here have lit me up and inspired me every single day. Getting to lead Lloyd EcoDistrict and work alongside so many of you has been the most meaningful chapter of my professional life.

I feel incredibly grateful for what we’ve built together, and even more hopeful about what’s ahead.

This is not a sudden transition. I’ll be staying closely connected over the coming months and working alongside the Board and team to ensure a thoughtful, supported handoff to our next Executive Director.

With that, we’re officially opening the search for Lloyd EcoDistrict’s next Executive Director.

This role is at the heart of everything we do. It’s a chance to step into a small but deeply connected organization and help continue shaping the future of the Lloyd neighborhood alongside a strong network of partners.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • enjoys building relationships
  • is comfortable working in a small, nimble environment
  • can move between big-picture thinking and day-to-day action
  • cares deeply about community, equity, and place-based work

If that sounds like you, I’d love for you to take a look:

Thank you for being part of this work and this community. It has meant so much to me, and I’m really excited for what comes next.

Warmly,
Kristin
