Professionals of Color in the Energy Sector Panel

The BIPOC Planners Club and the Center for Urban Studies (CUS) invite community members, students, and professionals to attend the Professionals of Color in the Energy Sector Panel on May 18 from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

This panel will bring together professionals working across the energy sector to connect with urban planning students and discuss career pathways, industry insights, and the evolving relationship between energy systems and urban planning. As cities continue to address climate change and sustainability challenges, the conversation will explore the important role the energy sector plays in shaping infrastructure, housing, transportation, and other urban systems.

The discussion will be moderated by Sletsy Dlamini, a second year MURP student, and currently includes speakers:

  • Brayam Cruz Garcia, Pacificorp Substation Engineer
  • Angela Long, Rockcress Consulting CEO
  • Kenji Spielman, Energy Trust of Oregon Engineer
  • Additional speakers to be announced
