Pets are welcome at all shelters.

 How to Help

Contact 211 to find an open shelter or help with transportation to a shelter. Interpreters are available for 100+ languages by phone. Text and email is in English and Spanish only.

TriMet fares are waived for anyone going to a warm place during this emergency. TriMet asks riders to let their driver know they are headed to a warm place. 

Call the Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) hotline at 503-988-3646 for 24-hour information and assistance to older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers.  

Call 9-1-1 of someone is showing symptoms of hypothermia: shivering uncontrollably, or suffering confusion, slurred speech or drowsiness. Get them somewhere warm and dry.  

In Portland, call 9-1-1 and request Portland Street Response for people experiencing mental health crisis. 

In Multnomah County, call the Multnomah County Sheriff non-emergency response line at 503-823-3333 to request a welfare check.
