The Portland Promenade

Oregon Walks is wrapping up STEPtember with its first Portland Promenade, a free walking event taking place on Sunday, September 27, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The walk will begin at Luuwit View Park and end at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland.

The approximately 11-mile route will travel through all four Portland City Council districts, cross the Willamette River, visit the Blumenauer Bridge, and pass a variety of sites and neighborhoods along the way. Shorter route segments will also be available for those who would prefer to participate in only part of the walk. Oregon Walks is currently exploring transportation options to Luuwit View Park, with more information to come.

The walk will conclude with a celebration of Oregon Walks and the completion of STEPtember, along with recognition of Portland Promenade participants and supporters as part of the organization’s annual membership gathering. The entire event is free, and those interested in walking or volunteering can RSVP here or through Oregon Walks’ page by clicking “More Information”
